Day 1 of voting for Top 50 of European ski resorts

Yesterday we officially launched our online Survey to discover the TOP 50 SKI/MOUNTAIN RESORTS IN EUROPE 2020/2021. I thought it might be interesting to keep an approximate running-tally of the daily votes, so from today until the end of the survey on Sunday July 19th, I’ll give you a quick daily rundown on the votes received the previous day.

Yesterday, as it was Day 1, the vote count was much lower than the number of surveys coming in today, however there were some interesting results yesterday:

Let’s look at the countries voted Number 1 the most: first place isn’t much of a surprise, and so for yesterday’s vote count Austria is in 1st place, followed by France in 2nd, Switzerland in 3rd and Italy in 4th. The 5th most voted country did come as a slight surprise (to me anyway) as 5th place goes to Spain, with Andorra falling in at 6th place.

Now the vote that matters is for our 50 Top Resorts, and from yesterday’s votes, we see we need more votes coming in, as we have 4 ski-resorts on equal points! Yesterday’s 4 joint finalists were St Anton am Alberg, Soldeu – El Tarter, La Plagne and Zermatt. This result shows the difference between the tally for countries and resorts, with one Andorran resort in joint 1st place, while Andorra as a whole came in 6th place.

Anyway, tomorrow I’ll post the tally from today, and I think we’ll see big changes as there are a lot more votes to be counted. Please keep voting, share the survey with your friends:

Happy Saturday evening to all!
